At the nose it’s fruity, apparently sweet, easy and pleasant: not an aggressive or spicy profile, on the contrary it’s quite raisiny and reminiscent of an old sherry-matured whisky. There is also a slightly earthy note from the cask. At the palate it’s fairly winey and tannic, but not blatantly marked by the sherry. It remains dry, with notes of liqourice, sandalwood, and lavender.
